How do Axopar bulk booking packages work?

Bulk booking packages allow you to purchase multiple bareboat charter days in advance at a reduced rate compared with booking individual days. The more days you book, the greater the overall saving. These packages are designed for guests who want the flexibility to enjoy self-drive boating on the Solent more frequently throughout the season.

Do I need to choose my charter dates when booking?

No. One of the key advantages of our packages is flexibility. You can secure your package first and then select your charter dates later when it suits your plans

Can I spread my charter days across the season?

Yes. Your charter days can be used at any point during the season. Some guests choose consecutive days for a long weekend on the water, while others spread their days across the season depending on weather and availability.

Do the packages apply to both weekdays and weekends?

Packages are calculated using our weekday charter rates. If you choose to use your charter days on weekends, you benefit from even greater overall value.

Do I have to return the boat to the same marina each day?

No. One of the benefits of a multi-day charter is the freedom to explore. You can cruise to different Solent destinations and stay overnight in other marinas before continuing your journey the following day.

Can I swap between different Axopar boats?

Yes, subject to availability. Our packages allow you to experience different boats within our Axopar bareboat fleet depending on your plans and group size.

Can the boats be ready quickly if we decide to go out?

Yes. Our Axopars are maintained and prepared for charter, meaning many guests can be out on the water at short notice once availability is confirmed.

Requirements & Practicalities

What qualifications do I need for bareboat charters?

Bareboat charters require an experienced and qualified skipper. Full details of the required qualifications can be found on our Bareboat Charter Information page.

How does the fuel deposit work for bulk bookings?

A single refundable fuel deposit is taken at the start of your bulk booking package, regardless of how many days you have booked After each charter, you will receive a simple top-up invoice covering the fuel used during that day, along with the £30 + VAT refuelling charge. This is paid before your next booking to return your deposit to its original level. Once all of your charter days have been used, any remaining balance from your fuel deposit is promptly refunded.

Are cleaning charges included in the package?

Yes. The standard £30 + VAT cleaning charge is removed for bulk booking packages, offering additional value compared with individual charter days.
